- Now Open: New and Improved Gottlieb Emergency Department
Designed with the patient in mind, the updated emergency department at Gottlieb features new bedside registration and updates to exam and waiting rooms for comfortable and efficient care.
- ADVANCED EMERGENCY AND TRAUMA CARE
Highly trained emergency physicians care for children and adults needing immediate medical attention in our full-service emergency department and trauma center 24 hours a day.
Our full-service emergency department and level II trauma center delivers high-quality acute care to adults and children. Board-certified emergency medicine doctors handle acute symptoms, injuries and illness, trauma and life-threatening conditions 24 hours a day. The clinical staff is skilled in advanced cardiac care, and all staff nurses are certified in advanced cardiac life support.
Your Safety Is Our Top Priority
We are following CDC guidelines for safety and cleanliness during the COVID-19 pandemic - providing masks, screening and testing and COVID-Free Zones for all patients, visitors and staff. COVID-Free Zones are areas where we provide care only for people not known to have COVID-19 or COVID-19 symptoms.
Registering patients at the bedside helps to decrease waiting times, leading to quicker treatment.
Patient Comfort Is Key
Patients in the emergency department move efficiently through the cycle of care, assigned to exam rooms that reflect where they are in the care process (ex., exam, results pending, etc.).
Updated Registration and Waiting Areas
Emergency staff has full visibility to the entry door and waiting area, as well as the drop-off drive (to help patients as needed). Registration stations are fully visible to patients as they enter the building and the waiting area features enhanced privacy and additional seating. Our Team Station is equipped with a payment drawer and credit card reader, giving patients the option to pay on the spot.
Our emergency physicians and nurses are responsible for training and educating the local emergency medical technicians (EMTs) and paramedics for Bensenville, Elmwood Park, Franklin Park, Melrose Park, River Grove and Leyden Township.
